Soap Wish List
This is perhaps the post that excites me the most, the reason I hope to create a bar soap community. As I have gotten deeper into the bar soap world, I have spent time browsing, smelling, and debating which bar to try next. However, as anyone who uses bar soap will know, a bar lasts a good long while. The first shower with a new bar is a special day, a moment of excitement. So, here is the list of soaps I want to try and what I have learned about them. Tried them yourself? Drop a review and let me know!
-Roger
- Aesop Refresh
- At 23$ this soap feels like an investment. But if I know anything from the inordinate time I have spent in Aesop stores smelling and not buying anything, it is probably WORTH IT. The smell of really all their products is phenomenal and the quality is of course top notch. When it comes to fragrance and skin products, this is true bougie soap. I will report back to the bar soap community once it is finally in my possession, been putting pennies in the piggy bank. If you have tried it let me know if it is worth the price tag! Made with bergamot rind, ylang ylang, and Tahitian lime, wow all the favorites.

- Oars and Alps
- Like you I have gotten lots of ads for this recently and I must say they are working. Intriguing scents, clean packaging, and quality ingredients is what they are selling, and I plan on buying. Particularly intrigued by the Blue Charcoal, Superfoliant, and SuperMoisture bar
- L’Objet
- Apparently "L'Objet is all about designing quality products that are also functional works of art" intriguing. Their soaps certainly do look lovely, coming in at $30/bar so perhaps a gift rather than a daily soap.
- Molton Brown
- Black Pepper scent (comprised of vetiver and oakmoss) has been supercharged with Madagascan peppercorn oil
- Creed Aventus: their signature scent in a soap…very expensive
- Jo Malone Soap
- Dior Eau Sauvage
- Mistral
- Cremo Palo Santo, Cremo Blue Cypress and Cedar
- Kiehls

I’ve always been for the cheapest bars from Costco, but you have me thinking that I should up my game a bit. Maybe someone will give me a fancy bar as a gift.
